BobCAD System Recommendations:
Unlike many modern
professional applications, BobCAD enjoys few if any benefits from
hyper-threading or additional CPU cores. A workstations CPU clock speed is a
much more important determinant of the experience you will have in BobCAD than
the number of cores it has. However, one must keep in mind that if using other
applications alongside the software such as SolidWorks or Rhino, you will need
to consider a CPU with 8+ cores in order to optimize overall performance.
In simple terms you need a CPU
with the fastest clock speed possible and at least four cores. We have
determined 16GB to
32GB to be a reasonable amount
of RAM but more complex projects might take advantage of 64GB.
There is also absolutely no
doubt that Quadro graphic cards provide the best performance for all type of
CAD-CAM related applications.
